Description

Brian Gorrell & Jazz Company is Oklahoma's premier contemporary jazz band.
The group was formed in 1995 when Brian returned to Oklahoma after performing with The Lawrence Welk Orchestra in Branson, Missouri. The Jazz Company performs a wide variety of styles including traditional & contemporary jazz, funk, latin, & pop music. Their music somewhat focuses on original compositions by Brian Gorrell & Shane Conaway and they also perform material by other composers as diverse as Billy Strayhorn, Victor Young, Marcus Miller, & Pat Metheny.
The Jazz Company completed their debut album:
IN SOME OTHER WORLD
also featuring Mr. Eric Leonard on trombone in 1995.

Their second album:
SOULMATES
was released in 1999 and is available everywhere!

In 2000 The Jazz Company completed a unique third album entitled:
IN THE SWING OF CHRISTMAS

These albums feature music that ranges from traditional and
contemporary jazz styles to funk-fortified jazz fusion with an attitude!
