MAY 15th 1 PM SPECIAL APPEARANCE and FUNDRAISER for the LARRY LEGGATE Foundation to raise money for his son Jame's College Fund. This is a celebration of life and Shadowdogs will perform with special guests between 1-4 PM. This should be a fun day on the lawn, listening to music, visiting with friends, and sharing a BBQ, all of the things Larry enjoyed most!!

Notables...
Pedal steel player Rick Schmidt of local Americana band The Shadowdogs got the opportunity of a lifetime on March 13 when he received a call from an assistant producer on a video shoot for country superstar Shania Twain. With a video being shot in an old Tijuana building for the tune "I Aint No Quitter," director Wayne Isham (Metallica, Dave Matthews) needed extra musicians for key scenes in the clip, and Schmidt fit the bill. Schmidt's son Cole was also used as an extra, but a few hours of watching Twain's dancers strut their stuff couldn't have been too shabby, either.

"NICKEL CREEK tops off a great day of fantastic giving from over 1000 people who attended the TSUNAMI ORPHANS RELIEF CONCERT on JAN. 9th at TOM GIBLIN'S IRISH PUB in Carlsbad, CA. A late surprise appearance by the Vista based Bluegrass Trio pushed donations over the $25,000.00 mark and SHADOWDOGS would like to thank them and everyone involved who made this a great day and allowed us to be part of it. The dynamic Giblin Duo, David Lally, Faith, and friends are incredible! This again proves that the real warmth in San Diego comes from the people. The followup CD to our 2003 debut is almost here and will be on sale in FEBRUARY 2005.
"HALFWAY TO SOMEDAY"
After laying basic tracks at GOLDEN TRACK Studio in Escondido, CA with Steve Wetherbee on the board, we completed recording at THE FORT in Fallbrook and mastered it at DigiPrep in LA. Many thanks to Dan Hersch and Warren Salyer for another great job and special thanks to Steve Wetherbee for his gracious work and guidance on this CD.
It opens with "Miracle Mile", a classic Rich Maiorano rocker and promises tp keep him as an integral part of Shadowdogs after contributing five great songs on our first album. Franklin Jenkins and Jon Scarantino join the songwriting and lead vocal ranks and "Halfway To Someday" delivers more meat with the potatoes adding an equal amount of rockers with our signature ballads.
This is all Shadowdogs with Jerry McCann rounding out the guitars and John Eliott and Sean Fitzsimmons making guest appearances. Home grown...Still unknown? .......not for long!
After having 2 songs from our debut CD on radio and Americana-Music.com, backing Jack Tempchin in concert, performing live on KUSI TV and playing the Adams Avenue Street Fair, SHADOWDOGS repaired to the woodshed to complete the writing of our new CD. Look for dates at AASF 2004, The Sandcastle Competition 2004, Lake Arrowhead Center Stage Summer Concerts, shows at TWIGGS, Lestats, and other great venues throughout San Diego.
