Description
Who is Grayson Wray you ask?
Well he's been working on music in relative obscurity for a while. He did two Great City albums a few years ago which received some excellent reviews.
Keyboard Magazine for one, and had a number of songs in the top ten, including number one on quite a few college stations. Great City even had some airplay on KROQ, a major station in Los Angeles.
Before that Grayson had some successful local bands that played a lot on the Sunset Strip in Hollywood. He also played the Hollywood Bowl before a crowd of fourteen thousand.
Grayson's main passion in life is creating music. He has a tendency to isolate himself.
He prefers the studio over playing live, although he loves playing for a large responsive crowd. This last year he's been writing and producing in his studio and is currently putting a band together.
He has a wide range of music influences including Classical music, The Beatles, Neil Finn, David Bowie, dance music and many new artists such as Gomez, Beck, Air, The Flaming Lips, Cornelius, Elliot Smith and Bjork.
Grayson's last release "Picasso's Dream" was very well received with 100 confirmed college radio stations and 75 Internet stations playing it. "Picasso's Dream" was played in heavy rotation on WRAS, Georgia State University for 6 weeks getting up to #11 and was as high as # 2 on WZMB, in North Carolina. With many great reviews , artist of the day March 5 on Garage Band .com, artist of the month of April, Radio X, artist of the week April 8, Wizard Radio Grayson's future looks great.
