Description
James Roy's musichas acomplexity of soundabout it that is similar to a lot of popular electronica music out there today. But what separates his music fromthe ambiguity of all thosesynthesized songs where you are like, "I love that song, who sings it?" (to which you receive silence or a shrug as a response) arehis strong vocals and lyrical composition. His melodies are memorable andcatchy. His vocal style hasan original sound thatconveys emotion readily to the listener.
His music is hard to categorize exactly as different songs have different emotional effects upon the listener. Some are dance songs which clearly make you want to get your groove on, some are pop-style and great for local radio stations and a general population, and others are more thought provoking and only if listened to multiple times can one fully appreciate the complexity of his message. His compositions follow his experiences, each with a new feel and a new understanding.
James Roy is new to the world of composing, having written his first song in March of 2003. With a BS in Electrical Engineering, he has a deep understanding of technology and makeshis living in Denver, CO as a digital design engineer. As he becomes more familiar with his tools and techniques, his songs become more refined and gain a new sophistication while carrying the same original feel. He approaches each composition as a new learning experience and hopes to continue his musical path into a full album release.
