Description
Amadeo Records presents Minstrels a new recording by the Chicago based James Sanders Trio.
This album of jazz standards is a marriage of chamber Music and Jazz and is the right choice if you are looking for an intimate jazz serenade.
Recorded live to 2 track at Ron Rolland Studios in Lake Forest, IL these tracks have a warmth characteristic of vintage analog recording.
The album features 3 Chicago Artists.
Violinist James Sanders whose credits include Chicago Sinfonietta, Ravinia Festival, former member of the 3 Coast String Quartet has performed on albums by Filter and the Smashing Pumpkins.
Pianist Tom Vaitsas, performs with such legends as Von Freeman and Frank Derone and is accompanist of choice to many.
Bassist, Nick Schneider is considered the Dean of the Acoustic Bass in the Chicago jazz scene his resume includes collaborations with Woody Herman, Tony Bennett and Johnny Frigo among others.
The title of the album is inspired by the musicians in the middle ages performing in the feudal houses, known as Minstrels.
This album is a tribute to the intimacy of live musical serenades.
