Description
During his childhood, young James used to entertain the neighborhood girls on sunny afternoons in Edison, New Jersey by singing such standard hits of the time as Yesterday by the Beatles and Sweet Caroline by Neil Diamond.
At the time, he was known to make up words to the songs if he didn't know them.
Today he still loves to perform these and many other favorite songs - only now he makes up words to his own music.
James considers himself as much a songwriter as a performer.
He bought his first guitar as a teenager and has been writing music ever since.
On the stage, James is a master of channeling breath into music.
Besides being a lead vocalist, James loves to rock out on the tenor saxophone and jam on the harmonica.
His sax idol is Jersey's own Clarence Clemons.
James taught himself to play the sax, so he could play the classic Bruce sax solos.
James's musical influences range from Elton John, Bruce Springsteen and John Cougar to Van Halen, Aerosmith, Def Leppard, Bon Jovi and Creed.
While he loves the energy of the stage, he remembers his roots on the neighborhood streets.
When he is not performing live, you might find him singing or playing the sax along Jersey Shore boardwalks, if not in person, definitely in spirit.
