Description
BALTIMORE MAGAZINE (April 2004)
"Local poets Richard Sober and Sandie Castle have teamed up on MISSING IN ACTION (Bird House), a spoken-word disc that opens with, of all things, a pair of songs by Sober. Like much of Sober's material, "Honeymoons and Watermelons" and "Song" revel in homespun truths tickled by intellectual curiosity. Castle, on the other hand, often focuses on the underside of urban life. Like a female Bukowski, she tells tales about fallen angels in a gritty voice that implies she might be one herself."
