Description
Jason LeVasseur
"Watching The Girls Go By" is the debut "solo" album from Jason LeVasseur. It is a collection of 11 new songs, carried by Jason's soulful voice and backed by amazing musical performances.
Jason has already established himself as versatile drummer, guitarist, and songwriter. He has played percussion with the likes of Vertical Horizon, Jackopierce, Edwin McCain, The Pat McGee Band, The Blue Dogs, and The Nadas. For the last few years he has been writing and recording with the award winning band, Life In General. They were voted by Musician Magazine as one of the "top 100 unsigned bands" in the country, and were voted the "Music Artist of The Year" by the National Association for Campus Activities.
Three of Jason's songs have been played and recorded by other bands, four of his songs have been featured in movies, and he even has a song on "triple play 2000"(the video game). With this new album, "watching the girls go by", we can't wait to see what will happen.
Jason was born in the United States, but spent most of his childhood in Mexico, then Belgium, and finally back to the U.S. for college, but not before studying French, Spanish, and Italian for a year in Milan, Italy. His world travels have influenced his playing style and his perspective on the world, allowing him to cross the line from "Roots/Rock" into "World Music". He can creatively weave a story and take the listener on a musical and emotional journey, giving sentimental touches in Spanish while rocking out like a true American.
Now living in Charlotte, North Carolina, Jason is headed out this fall on his first solo tour in support of the new album. On stage Jason radiates. Dynamic, high energy, fun, and loving, he is an unforgettable performer who embraces audiences as he welcomes them into his world. He is putting together an all-star band of musicians to help out on the tour... so don't miss a show... and don't miss the chance to hear his music.
