Description
This album came to pass as a result of a summer midnight stroll that was curtailed because of local air pollution.
To the west superb and beautiful sunsets !
With a westerly breeze, TV Dinner fumes mostly Beef and Onion from the factory!
To the North West, superb architecture
With a North Westerly gale it's a POO burner and if the Thames is at low tide as well, Watch Out !!
To the North, flatlands
With a Northerly gale, think about highly toxic chemicals stored under pressure at a fertilizer plant. And give them the chance and it will be a Waste Incinerator too, with all the dioxins you can take!
To the North East, flatlands and factories
And in winter, Artic winds and in summer Rapeseed processing for vegetable oils.
Pheww, what a whiff !!
To the south is a bluff, a steeply rising hill
The day before the Hurricane of 1987 I had an empty plastic bin outside my door,
After the Hurricane of 1987, I had an empty plastic bin outside my door!
In 1980 a house in the south of the borough, or at the top of the bluff, sold for 50,000, today sells for 250,000 to 300,000
In 1980 a house in the north of the borough, or at the bottom of the bluff, sold for 30,000, today sells for 90,000 to 95,000

The Project
The "Joocypeach" project has now come to fruition. It is an album of songs in the soul jazz genre with a view ! Dave took a conscious decision to use locally-based artists. The "Joocypeach" album "Midnight over Erith" will see both art work and the musicianship of local professionals. The album itself contains 12 songs totalling over 60 minutes of music. Three of which are vocal tracks.
There has already been radio play in Moldova a small East European country on the Black Sea. This is as a direct consequence of the involvement of singers from The Moldovan State Opera in the final track of the album. These vocal tracks being the only non local intervention.
