Description
What does it sound like?
Well if you like music by people like "Stevie Ray Vaughn", "Steely Dan", "Joe Cocker". "Three Dog Night", or "Kenny Rodgers", then you will like this CD. There is a lot of verity in this album, rock, jazz, country, swing, some funny stuff, it "DOES NOT" all sound the same.
Recorded and mixed at Willie Nelson's Pedernales Cut-N-Put Studio west of Austin Texas. Produced by Jeff Devillez. Engineered and mixed by Steve Starnes. Mastered by Jerry Tubb at Terra Nova in Austin. Eddie Cantu on Drums, Joey Colarusso on Baritone Sax, Jeff Devillez Harmony vocals, Floyd Domino on Piano, Marvin Dykhuis on Electric Guitar & Mandolin, Fred Jarmon on Acoustic Guitar, and Ted Sweeney on Bass. All songs by Mike Lankford and Lead vocals by Mike Lankford.
For a singer songwriter, having this group of world class musicians and production professionals to work with on this album has been a fantastic endeavor. On September 28th 2003 we start recording CD #2 with the same people and a bunch of new songs.
