Description
"La Revancha" (Spanish for "The Rematch") is a blend of rhythms created by an acoustic guitar, base & drums, fussed with colored melodies from a violin, a trumpet and an electric guitar.
The result is a Latin folk/fusion mix which main purpose is to create an experience of inner spiritual peace and freedom.
La Revancha is a Latin Folk/Fusion music project that has two recorded CD's under Cosanostra Music (Canyon Country, CA). After releasing their first CD ("Locura", spanish for "Insanity" ), in Mexico City on June 2003, the band started getting airplay in Mexico City, Los Angeles, NY and many other cities.
On March 20th , 2004 La Revancha released their second album , "El Zarape" ( " El Zarape " is the icon of the Mexican Restaurant that has opened the doors to "La Revancha" for live shows across the USA).
La Revancha has performed at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame (Latino Heritage Day, August 8th, 2004), at the Black Swamp Arts Festival (Bowling Green, OH, rated as one of the most important arts Festivals in the Country), and also in NYC's Central Park / (Tavern on the Green outdoor stage) during the NYC's 2004 Marathon Festivities. La Revancha has also performed at a variety of large events, nightclubs, rallies, marches, and many other places.
La Revancha crosses barriers. This music was originally written in Spanish, but it has managed to touch a diverse type of crowds. Crowds that were willing to understand not only about lyrics, but most importantly, about the energy that collective creation can bring.
