We Cry Out
Tonya Betz
Contemporary worship, all original songs -- some pop, some rock, some ballads, some not. Plenty of guitar and sax, with some flute, too. Over an hour of music declaring our love for God and our need for Him.

Description
This sophomore set from Tonya Betz includes over an hour of praise & worship music. This time, Betz brought in Berklee musician Darren Petersen on sax and flute.
Petersen is currently involved in a big band/swing group in Dallas, writing scores and playing gigs. Petersen adds just the right touch to these worship songs, including a full score accompanying Betz on We're Crying Out For You. On You Are God, he adds sax and flute parts that answer each other in this moody declaration of God's sovereignty.
Then Petersen plays a perfect smooth jazz sax on You, while Betz sings of her dependence on Jesus. The title track lends itself to Petersen's dynamic style, building to a crescendo in this jazz-tinged plea for God's love.
Eyes Wide Open is the perfect tune for Petersen to show off his jazz fusion talent and Just You and Me allows Petersen to put down his sax and pick up his flute once again to lead us into the loving arms of Christ, our Savior.
Back once again is Joy Russell on piano and synth. Russell wrote or co-wrote 5 of the 12 songs. She sings lead on the delicate, yet powerful Lord I Come. Craig Ostergren plays electric guitar this time, adding a moodiness to the title track and some classic rock to Come and Adore Him and Holy is the Lord, Most High. Ostergren's guitar work on Redefine Me is reminiscent of the Marshall Tucker Band and his power pop licks on All That I Am drive the song.
Best of all, you get another hour of Tonya Betz whose vocals will help lead you to the throne room of God. These are intimate praise and prayer songs from Betz as only she can sing them.
We pray that this album will touch your heart and allow you to learn more about the heart of God. We hope that you enjoy this project and let us know how we can pray for you.
