Black Flamingo is one of the more interesting artists I have heard lately. I'm still trying to figure out what I think of this. This starts out with the track "Imperfect Girl" which is an upbeat, acoustic based number that falls somewhere between Sheryl Crow and The Donnas. From there we move into a series of acoustic numbers that are all in the same vein. It's hard to describe, but if pressed (like now), I'd have to call it the Beatles with Courtney Love singing. I know that sounds odd, it should, and it is. Black Flamingo's vocals are off kilter punk at times and straightforward at other points. The vocals here take some getting used to, but if your into the quirky, then check out Black Flamingo at www.blackflamingo.com
