Description
Fred Bogert is known throughout the music industry as producer, composer, singer and multi-instrumentalist. He produced, engineered and performed on two Grammy nominated CD's by the acoustic duo Trout Fishing in America, an act he also appears on stage with nationwide.
In ten years on Nashville's Music Row, Fred took part in over three thousand recordings of a wide variety of successful artists and songwriters. During that time Fred also performed at places like the Fillmore West with Vassar Clements and the Little Big Band.
Fred recently appeared at Nashville's historic Ryman auditorium with the Nashville Chamber Orchestra to celebrate the release of the "Kid Pan Alley-Nashville" CD, which he co-produced with Paul Reisler and Paul Gable. Artists on the project included Delbert Mc Clinton, Raul Malo, Suzy Boggus, Amy Grant, and many others.
Fred often performs solo house concerts of his own material, and is known by audiences of all ages for his energy and mischief. His songs explore the various passions of relationship in a bluesy-jazzy way that features strong melodies and top- notch musicianship. On acoustic guitar he's more folksey, and on the piano he often lets go of his high-energy rock 'n roll side. His voice is a commanding presence that puts the depth in his performance and makes that gut- level connection with his audience. He often performs at Unity churches, and has produced CD projects for many of Unity's choirs, bands, and singers. Fred now serves as part of Unity's Music Ministry team.
