Description
"crossing religious borders", "the last suppers burning", "my love is cheap", and "bed of pain" - buzzy jones establishes itself as the kings of alternative tounge in cheak. Real roots rock with a little folksy flare. mid-americas number one rated road band for several years. Buzzy just plain out rocks. They may be old school tacticians but these songs are classics. From performances with the legenday Bill Monroe to tours with the likes of Lyle Lovett these guys are tough. Lyrically challenging. Yet funny. Always funny. This first record is raw, but thats what makes it good. Really great song writing. Richard is a mean mother on gtr. And to see him do it live is truly amazing. This guy was more into every song than any performer I have ever seen or met.
He is sick.
Yet play guitar like a seasoned pro rythm and lead man. He play Hendricks all night if you let him. I've seen it many times. Gregg Hedges is simply a bass clinic for all. Listen to some tunes. Especially "Religious Borders" my favorite since I met the band in the weeks after its release.
