Description
Findings, (Luke Tozour: bass and guitars, Erin Hurff: vocals) started their first band, Closure, in 1999 playing Tool, Deftones and other hard rock music as well as originals. After Closure broke up, Luke and Erin kept writing together and forming new bands. Now, after playing and writing together for four years and graduating from Berklee College of Music, they're releasing their first album Change the Channel.
The album features a full rock band with amazing talent as well as some moody electronic programming on two of the songs. Drummer Larry Finn has played with such amazing performers as Paula Cole and Jonatha Brooke and guitarist Mark Doyle has played with many famous musicians including Judy Collins and Meatloaf. Other incredible players featured on the album include, Tyrone Chase, Kiyoshi Nishiji, and VTG. Luke and Erin wrote all of the songs on their album and independently produced Change the Channel with the help of their friend Rich Mendelson.
Findings' influences include Tool, Fiona Apple, Ken Andrews (Year of the Rabbit, Failure, On . . .), Ani DiFranco, Janis Ian, Susan Tedeschi, Carole King, Tori Amos, Portishead, the Deftones, and many more. The album has a wide range of styles that reflect their love of many kinds of music. Lyrics are a very important element as well as creative instrumental compostion and down right gutsy performances.
Findings will be moving to California to find the rest of their band members and start playing lots of shows and selling CDs. Visit their website at www.findingsmusic.com! Thanks for your interest!
