Description
Fremont John was a regular performer at The Bull in Key West, Florida for 6 years where he performed both solo and, with The Acoustic Thunder Band. He just recently moved to the Tampa Bay area to expand his market and to start touring for his new "Timeline" CD currently only available at his web site http://www.fremontjohn.com.
The "Acoustic Thunder" nickname came when John was interviewed in late May '99, in "Paradise This Week", a weekly Key West entertainment publication. The article was headlined "Acoustic Thunder, No Bull". The nickname was inspired by the energy and power John puts into his solo performance.
The "Acoustic Thunder" CD is the result of a life-long dream come true. These are songs from the heart. Songs of a spiritual seeker; listen to "What Do You Hear" and "Can't Reason Why", a lover; "I Like It When You Get Me High" and, "I'm Gonna Tell On You" an observer; "Duval Street" and a survivor; "If You Leave Me I Will Survive" or "Look At Me".
Fremont John made a splash in Key West and, Acoustic Thunder was considered one of the very best groups in the area "The band other musicians come to see" (Key West the Newspaper). Since the birth of the band in late March, A.T.B. has already had 2 full newspaper articles dedicated to them. On September 29,2001 they recorded a live CD at the Bull which is also available at this site.
