In our material based lives we strive to have all we can that is trendy or in vogue, then simply discard it when it becomes pass. Fremont John, an artist whose music can best be described as Acoustic Rock for experienced adults, serves up a melodic insight into what's really important in our lives.
Fremont John's new CD entitled, Timeline, brings to light real stories anyone with real life experience can relate to. He tells us in the title track that life is short; we have to be true to ourselves and follow our dreams before it's too late.
The CD, largely autobiographical in nature, looks at the ups and downs of long term relationships throughout one's life. Jericho's Wall reminds us that relationships can become power struggles that build walls between people that serve no useful purpose. Fremont John encourages us through his lyrics to let the walls tumble down, be forgiving and find love in our hearts.
The desperate plea for inner strength in the song Guardian Angel addresses the self-destructive thinking and habits born out of our inner fears. As this pattern of thinking continues to develop we sink into a mental and emotional state of desperation and confusion. It is in these times we know we are not on the right path and need help from a higher power to guide us back to where we belong.
Timeline is an instant reminder that life is more than what one sees on television or is conveyed through the media. It's about being who you really are versus what others expect you to be. It's about the experiences that make life worth living. Whether it's living our dreams or dealing with relationships or fighting our inner demons, Fremont John encourages us to listen to that inner voice that tells us what's important and to follow our heart.
