Description
Steve Whiteman, former lead singer of Atlantic recording artists KIX has formed this no frills unit which continues the tradition of hard rocking good-time rock and roll. If you liked KIX, you'll love Funny Money.
The newest release, Skin to Skin, is the first album with the new lineup - original member Dean Cramer (guitar), Mark Schenker (bass) who also handled producer and mixing duties, Louis Coppola (guitar) and Sam Stilwell (drums).
Steve's ex-KIX band mates guitarist Ronnie Younkins and drummer Jimmy Chalfant are guest musicians on this CD. Ronnie and Jimmy played on the opening cut "Bad Luck" and Jimmy lent his powerful drumming to three other songs. This is the first time any members of KIX have gotten together to record since KIX disbanded in 1996.
Ex-KIX drummer Jimmy Chalfant has joined the band full time since January of '04. Guitarist Rob Galpin, who co-wrote a number of songs on this record has also joined the Funny Money lineup full time replacing Louis Coppola.
Be sure to catch Funny Money live. Their shows are high energy and LOUD! At the live shows, you'll get a mix of the rocking Funny Money songs along with some of your favorite KIX tunes.
