Description
Jimmy Bear Pearson is a musical artist who has been performing and interacting with music on and off for several years. He has played several woodwind, brass, and stringed instruments throughout school and has had musical training. His music is influenced by a huge variety of contemporary and classical artists - from Mozart to Black Sabbath, from Crosby, Stills, Nash, Young, and Bach to Nirvana - and all points in between.
His first album, UrsaFirst (ursa means "bear"), marks his return to music after a long absence of living life, raising a family, and working through a technical career. The music Jimmy Bear makes is created during after-work hours and on weekends, with his wife and children as inspiration and cohorts. All non-percussion parts in UrsaFirst were created and performed by Jimmy Bear.
The music he makes is conceived, performed, and engineered by himself (one track at a time) in his living area using a variety of guitars and instruments - all of which is mixed down to tunes with his Macintosh computer and M-Audio MoblePre. The music is eclectic, and is created to have a live (human) quality, but with just a touch of color as though lots of different people are playing the parts. Listen carefully to the music - it will take you on a journey you will sincerely enjoy!
