Description
Akimbo is a project which began as a search for other people's music expressing Christy's heart and became an irrepressible vehicle for her own songs. With a voice equally comfortable softly telling a story as wailing a message of hope, the songs include pop, jazz, funky gospel, and folk styles. Howard Levy, Bob Lizik, Jim Hines, Jim Gailloretto, Peter Saxe, and many other well-known Chicago talents are featured, all with flawless production and arranging by Kraig McCreary, guitar genius. Not to be missed are backing vocals arranged and sung by Mari Anne Jayme and Paul Langford.
