Description
Nick China was born in Tientsin, China. He is of Russian descent. He has lived in the United States since 1952. He was graduated from Queens College, Flushing, NY with honors in 1972. Nick has been a Poet since 1965. He has been a singer-songwriter-performer since 1983, performing mostly in Greenwich Village, NY, and Queens Village, NY. He has written 400 poems, half of which he has set to music. Nick plays rythmn guitar and the harmonica, in addition to singing. He has recorded 100 demos, and Mick Davis, one of his collaborators, states that Nick does Bob Dylan better than Bob Dylan.
His CD was recorded in Sag Harbor, NY at Buzz Productions. Nick's co-producer was Steve Rosen, who performs Nick's song, "Who Will Be The One To Say She's Wrong" on this CD, Which Lonnie MacDonald, a lifetime friend of Nick's calls, "powerfully effective".
