Description
Edmond Paul Nicodemi is a trained classical and jazz guitarist/songwriter, who has rediscovered the love of his first instrument, the piano. Parallel Solitudes is his second piano CD. This second CD is purely piano alone, recorded on a magnificent 7-foot Yamaha Grand Piano. He has used his classical training to express himself in the new age/ambient medium. He considers his pieces personal soundtracks documenting his life experiences.
His jazz song, Trouble in Paradise, has been recorded by the jazz pianist Kenny Barron. Several of his pieces have been published by Editor's Choice Music. Selections from his previous album, Old Simple Times, can be heard on T.V. shows such as DateLine and The History Channel.
He teaches instrumental music and counsels young people. His musical loves are Gustav Mahler, Anton Bruckner, jazz pianist Bill Evans, and the songs of Leonard Cohen. Ed continues to write original songs in a pop/jazz genre, performing with singer Carol Nicodemi, who also produced Old Simple Times and his latest release, Parallel Solitudes.
