Description
The brain child of Eric Yoder who has engineered artists such as R Kelly and Smashing Pumpkins, and Steve Schnall who has played horns for such legendary performers as Aretha Franklin and The Temptations, URBAN FUNK ORDINANCE has been lighting up venues with their eclectic funk sound and dynamic love shows for the past eight years. The backbone of the band consists of DJ E, Chicago's premier turntablist, and Joe Williams, whose middle name is groove. With the addition of Mike Winchell, one of the most sought after guitarmen in the Midwest, the URBAN FUNK ORDINANCE is unstoppable. With the help from many local and regional booking agents and sponsorships from Jagermeister and Miller Beer, they have been rocking fans in over 14 states and more than 250 shows in the past two years. Hot on the success of two albums and in anticipation of the release of their third "The Exception To The Rule" (Sept 04), they are constantly taking their funkified experience on the road, playing venues of all types all over the nation including the world famous Chicago Metro, Double Door, The Cleveland Agora and Tobacco Road in Miami.
