Description
Kimberly Raadt is a native of Montgomery, Alabama. She studied voice at the University of Alabama, and music theory and jazz at Auburn University, where she earned a Bachelor of Music specializing in Jazz Studies. (Kim also earned a Master of Business Administration from Auburn University at Montgomery).
Kimberly performed in the southeast U.S. as a lead vocalist and keyboard player for over sixteen years in bands ranging in size from duos to 16-piece big bands, and in genres including pop, rock, folk, country, jazz, blues, r&b, funk, fusion, hip hop, Calypso, and Carolina beach music.
In 1996 Kim took a break from performing, but she was still writing and adding to her catalog of original music. In January 2000 she released her self-produced CD, "dreams & memories", a collection of short songs written between 1979 and 1994, reflecting her folk rock and jazz roots. In March 2002 Kim returned to the stage, playing her own music, and solo, for the first time. She has a backlog of new material and is now in the process of recording it.
Kimberly has resided in the Atlanta, Georgia area since 1996.
