Dynamic guitars courtesy of Vic Samalot and keyboard moods provided by Bobbi Holt are the cornerstones of this progressive, improvisational disc. Tracks such as the elegaic, hauntingly-moody "Black Rain" offer deep, sonorous keyboard textures topped with spry, passionate guitar. "Isabella" presents a DiMeola-style Latin guitar sound, while "Virtual Reality" is a sizzling concoction of relentless rhythm and Gilmour-like lead guitar. Rare Blend is a group that knows how to paint pictures with sound.
