Description
THE REDDING BROTHERS produce a smooth blend of alternative rock that has been compared to a game of Twister between the Barenaked Ladies, 3 Doors Down, and Hootie and the Blowfish. No word yet on who wins, but this sound has been enchanting people from Seattle to West Virginia. Including the brothers themselves. "Sometimes I get so lost in the music," Micah states, "that I fall asleep onstage".
Other than the random nap, though, the Reddings have been playing up a storm. Local venues such as the Chilton House, Taylor Books, Capitol Roaster's Cafe, Waldenbooks in Kanawha City, Borders, the Huntington Mall, Cliffhangers, Espresso Euphoria, Hurricane's Museum in the Community, and Showcase WV have all booked performances with the Reddings.
Where does their music come from? Good question. Some say it comes from their time spent on the road while traveling back and forth between Seattle and West Virginia, making stops in Oklahoma, Kentucky, Alabama, Tennessee, and Oregon on the way. Others suggest that it comes from the wide range of adventures they've been involved in, including rock-climbing, discovering secret government agencies that worked next door, driving a bus full of children to safety when the driver passed out, and many more.
Regardless, the Reddings are a creative, fun, and dynamic musical force. They've taken their music careers into their own hands, producing first a demo album and now a full-length LP entirely by themselves, and doing all their own booking and management.

Micah plays electric and acoustic guitar, and is an avid and prolific songwriter. Since 1996, he has been writing songs almost non-stop. With a voice that has been described as sounding like Mr. Rogers, and a fascination with such legends as the Beatles, Nirvana, and REM, Micah is an important musical and philosophical influence on the band. His Do-It-Yourself ethic and underground aesthetic has become a powerful part of the band's persona.
Josiah - Web: www.JosiahRedding.com - Email: Josiah@JosiahRedding.com
Josiah plays bass and keyboards, and is a songwriter with a definite folk influence. With a broad vocal range, strong dynamics, and powerful harmony, he supplies musical strength to the band's sound.
Gabriel - Web: www.GabeRedding.com - Email: Gabe@ReddingBrothers.com
Gabriel is the resident drummer, but has also been widely recognized for his vocal percussion ability. With his harmony and beat he keeps the band's sound strong, and with his punk-influenced singing and songwriting, he adds a fun dynamic to live shows.
