Description
Rob Marin (born to the name Robert Prezioso) is a talented vocalist/performer who has been enthusiastically dedicated to the art of music since a very young age. He was born in Providence, Rhode Island, where he was surrounded by a musical family, who influenced his desire to pursue a musical career. Singing his first notes at the age of two, Rob continued to follow his dreams to share his talent with the world. With just a few guitar lessons and a Beatles songbook Rob was able to recreate popular hit songs by the age of six - playing solely by ear. His success and accomplishments sparked his interest in venturing into other instruments including keyboard and drums.
Years later, Rob's experience and confidence offered him the opportunity to join a local band where he was able to perform for diverse audiences ranging from private establishments to public night clubs. This enabled him to enhance his musical talents and stage performance and opened the door for him to later join his uncle's band, in which he utilized his creativity to produce and perform the band's music sets. He was also responsible for refining the band's sound quality through audio engineering.
Rob eventually ventured out on his own, working with major producers and songwriters in Rhode Island and Massachusetts, to establish his own career in the music industry. Seizing the opportunity to audition for a local pop group, Rob awed a panel of talent scouts and was chosen as lead vocalist. With the group, Rob had the opportunity to perform for Ed McMahon and join him in releasing his television show, Next Big Star, at a press release in Times Square, New York. Rob also had the opportunity to entertain a variety of audiences through shows sponsored by Radio Disney (Boston, MA) including Six Flags New England, Heinz Convention Center Boston, Newport, RI Winter Festival and local shopping malls and schools.
Recently, Rob decided to challenge himself with a project of creating his own album, which he achieved by writing, producing, and recording all of the songs on the album in his own home studio. Rob decided to go by the name of "Rob Marin" when releasing his first album "Falling," in order to honor his maternal roots which originally bear the name "Marinelli."
