Crazy Dreams
Rusty String Quartet
Organic rock, blues, and country that defies the traditional music category labels. The experience of a loose-spirit sound and sharp lyrical content, set to the backdrop of the everyday commotion of people living their lives in obscurity.

Description
Is it possible to be both forlorn and enthusiastic, both sad and excited, simultaneously? This is what Rusty String Quartet seeks to discover with their second full-length CD, "Crazy Dreams", released in March 2004.
With this CD, Rusty String Quartet continues to make its own brand of music, a sound that has yet to be completely described or fully categorized. As Twin Cities music critic Tom Hallett noted, "...[RSQ] tosses the loose spirit of The Band in with the sharp lyrical wit of Steve Forbert to create a delightfully schizophrenic sub-genre all their own."
This CD tells many stories, each woven from a fabric of the lives of the members. Like stories of playing in a band, stories of losing your job, and stories of finding yourself amidst hardship and despair, and surviving despite it.
And so, in its course, RSQ makes you feel the ache of unrequited love. And the calamity of personal failure. But you also feel the triumph of human spirit. And the courage of personal accomplishment. "Crazy Dreams" travels to parts unknown, then returns to tell us all about the journey.
