Description
"...these songs evoke a crisp, cohesive grasp of some truly intangible intuitions and emotions. A very worthwhile and exciting album; one that begs to defy its namesake."
www.openingbands.com
The Invisible have a unique variety of different songs that defy categorization. Although their influence from the Champaign scene is apparent, it is this diversity, and a tendency to explore more theatrical territory, which has always set them apart. Combining mod rock with alt country, 60's psychedelia and instrumental hip hop, they blend multiple genres while maintaining an unsettling undertone. Although the sarcasm in their lyrics sometimes makes it difficult to know how it's intended to be taken, one thing is certain, a dramatic effect is made. Each of their records is so distinctive that they can hardly be compared to anything else that has ever been released. If you want a conventional rock album with songs that all sound the same then The Invisible is not for you. If you're looking for poofy hair, jean jackets and studded belts then look elsewhere. But if you would like to be taken on a dynamic, adventurous musical ride that never fails to surprise, then I formally invite you into the mysterious world that is The Invisible.
