Dear Folks,
Welcome to Tim Tolliver & Friends. This article was designed to give you a little more information about my new project

"I AM WHAT I AM". It was also designed so that I could give an explanation of what I intend to accomplish in the music world. With all of the good music that is in the world it made me to wonder why I should even try to put my two cents into the pot. I have always been a great lover of bluegrass music. Being raised in the coalfields of Virginia, it has always been a big part of my life. This doesn't make me any different than any other bluegrass musician, but this music touched me way down deep and now it is my desire to touch someone else through my music. I try to write songs that are associated with everyday living, and I never try to sing or record a song that I can't feel, no matter how good the lyrics. After all, if you can't feel it , it sure is hard to expect someone else to.

The songs MAN ON THE WALL, SOLID BLACK GOLD, I WAS THERE, and MR. JONES are all true songs. And of course, I consider all the Gospel tracks to be true.

This new project is my offering to the music world. If you should decide to purchase this album I hope and pray that 1 out of the 12 songs will find you where you live, either brighten up your day or remind you of the fact that there is a brighter day ahead.

I was born in Richlands, VA a small coal mining town in Southwest Virginia.Even though my love of music shows in the feelings portrayed in every song it is only second to my love for writing. You know, this project,"I AM WHAT I AM" could very well be the first bluegrass ALBUM where the artist was the author of the whole project.If you enjoy good music, good singing I know you will enjoy this one!
