Description
Why Time Traveler? Because it took me so long to make it. By the time we got near the end I had gone through so many changes it was like I morphed into a different person. I thought of the album title, then I wrote the song.
Working Title: Like they do in the movie business when they can't decide on a name. Uptempo backbeat, two part harmony and guitar hook.
What's good for me: Led Zeppelin on a sugar high.
Lay Me Down: Bouncy midtempo PopRocker with featured vocal arrangement.
Linda Ann: A 'help Me Rhonda' song with all acoustic guitars, layered harmonies and McCartney bass line.
Fountain of love: We loaded everything including the kitchen sink into this one. Sounds like a country song, but it's really a love song.
Leap of Faith: I came the closest I've ever come to losing my mind when I wrote this. PS: I never did take that plunge.
Your Loving Heart: Obvious heavy 60's influence, the jingle jangle 12-string electric gives it away.
Ain't Goin' Back: Whirlwind piano and organ with 'Band of Gypsies' backup and me rapping (all 11 words). Huh?
When We're Gone: All acoustic but outta' control, hey where's the sitar?
Evening Flower: A slow dance grove with vocal embellishment toward the end. Yes, another love song...... you gotta problem with that?
Time Traveler: Although I didn't realize it at the time, this one was probably influenced by Sam Cooke's "Keep Movin' on". Dig it if you haven't already.
Well that about says all there is to say, time to get goin'. - TT
