ILONA! was honored in 2002 by SONY DIGITAL PICTURES, the world's foremost producer of professional music sample libraries, when she was chosen to be their first solo vocal library. The debut of ILONA: Universal Female Vocal Toolkit was so widely acclaimed worldwide that she was immediately selected for inclusion in the 2003 Film Producer product representing the highest selling libraries from the previous year. This year, ILONA! has been featured in Women Who Rock Magazine, EQ Magazine and BEST Magazine.
In a 2003 SONY remix contest featuring her songs, ILONA! and her producers had the opportunity to sample talent working with ILONA! vocals and songs worldwide. The five most talented arranger/remixers were retained by ILONA!'s management and each began the task of altering original ILONA! songs into electronica. Directed by the artist and producer Jonathan Todd, the result is instantly commercial, pop, hook-ey and hip, yet undeniably ILONA!
ILONA!'s voice is recognized instantly by her admirers. A deep sonorous contralto, punctuated by a control and mastery of three and one half octaves makes her virtually unique in the world of Pop music. Classically trained in the demanding European style, ILONA! was one of the four candidates selected from hundreds of applicants to attend the prestigious Pop Music division of the Academy of Music in Katowice, Poland. Upon graduation, ILONA! toured the world, playing for royalty, recording over 100 songs and earning prizes in numerous international festivals while representing her native Poland. As a result of her travels, ILONA! nurtured her talent and created a new and identifiable style of music, all her own.
Throughout her career, ILONA! has appeared on numerous stages performing in America, Mongolia, the Caribbean Islands, Russia, Germany, England, Poland, Canada, Norway and more.
ILONA! calls Los Angeles, California her home - A base from which she composes, performs and expresses her unusual gift, pursuing her mission that working together, the ever widening world can become just a little bit closer.
