Description
Kelley Morris is a 31 year old singer/songwriter from Laconia, NH who grew up in a poor family whose main bond was music. She started playing guitar when she was 14 and found it to be therapeutic in dealing with some personal issues. Performing with a unique sound and a raw talent that is percussive and emotional; she is inspired by Ritchie Havens, Joni Mitchell, and Ani DiFranco.
Kelley recently opened for Holly Near and has appeared on The LRPA-TV Show "Good News Travels Fast". She recently performed at The Southern Womyn's Festival in Georgia in April 2005 and was described by Kris Garnjost of Jam Music Magazine as having "a sense of sincerity in her work that makes me think there is great potential here."
Now living on Shellcamp Lake in Gilmanton in a home she shares with her wife, she continues to create new music reflecting her life experiences and her evolving perspective on relationships, politics and hope.
