Description
This combination songbook/CD of Peace songs is the culmination of 2 years of an 'Open Mic for Peace' hosted once a month by the Omni Center for Peace, Justice and Ecology. This showcases the 'cream of the crop' of songwriters from Fayetteville, Arkansas' thriving acoustic music scene.
This project turned out to be a winner for the Omni Center, both a successful fundraiser for it's peace making ventures (over 300 sold in Fayetteville alone...not bad for a city our size). The project features several CD Baby-touring artists who are well known beyond their region, artists such as Still on the Hill, Emily Kaitz, Susan Shore and Efron White, Nick Masullo and Geoff Oelsner.
Most importantly is that it includes a songbook with chords and diagrams, lyrics and clever artwork by Donna Stjerna. These songs well worth learning so that their message can be spread.
This is about keeping the folk tradition alive. Buy it and learn a song!
