Description
This is an eclectic selection of traditional children's songs and stories arranged in the traditional genre, some with an almost "English Music Hall" frivolity beautifully sung with traditional instrument accompaniment including the accordion, nothing is synthesized.
The familiar selections are sung and narrated clearly, making it easy for young children to hear and learn them.
In addition to the familiar verse of "The Cat And The Fiddle", it is put to music and explains the antics of the cow jumping over the moon and the dish running away with the spoon. The entertaining "Froggie Mouse" is one of many versions that has it's origins in British and American folksong and dates back to the 16th Century."Goosey Goosey Gander"also has additional verse.
This is a fun CD.
