Description
Since the formation of Venus Virus in February of 1996, Miss P. Pyre has continued to create an ambient, ethereal, synth-based sound that is something to contend with. Venus Virus is a combination of female-empowerment expressed through singing and synth-mood-pop. Current artists such as Radiohead, Air, Cold Play, or Venus Hum can all be heard in Venus Virus' work. There is also no denying of the strong 80's sound that comes to life through this music. Miss P. Pyre sites Gary Numan, Talk Talk, Yaz, and the Eurythmics as major influences in the music. Venus Virus continues to spread its infection through live performances in Europe and all throughout California. The future is bright with Venus Virus recording new material and planning for a small European tour later in the year.

"Could You?" is the first single off the upcoming album "T" set for release in mid to late 2005. This CD offers the solid vocals and creative talents of Miss Pyre and twenty minutes of new Venus Virus material. Venus Virus is continuing to take synthesized music beyond where it was left off by such 80's bands as Talk Talk, Modern English, and Gary Numan. The "Could You?" single is no exception to this trend. For this release, Venus Virus teemed up with two other esteemed artists (Polartwin and DJ Jester Pezz) to add two additional remixes of the title track. This CD is a must have for all Venus Virus' fans. It offers an exciting glimpse of what is in store for 2005 with the release of "T" the debut full length album.
