Description
One of York's finest Rock Bands, Vertigo Haze, is releasing it's debut CD, Naked Eyes. Known primarily as a Cover Band playing the PA/MD club circuit, the CD showcases the band's "alter-ego", featuring 15 all-original songs. "The songs on this CD reflect the many different styles of music that we enjoy listening to and playing", remarks frontman / Lead Guitarist Shawn Mitchell. "The CD goes from Classic Rock, to Reggae, to Alternative Rock and even a taste of Jazz. There's really something for everybody. It's a fresh departure from the Pop Divas, Rap Rock, Scream Metal, and Country that proliferates the airwaves these days."
Along with the CD release, Vertigo Haze has announced that it will donate $1.00 from each CD sale to the Make A Wish Foundation, "This is our way of giving something back to the community", states Vertigo Haze Drummer Rick Taormino. "We're passionate about our music. It's never really been about money. This small gesture makes us feel good, makes our fans feel good, and it helps the kids who need it. It's win-win."
Formed in 1997 by Mitchell in Richmond, Virginia, the band was immediately signed to an Artist Management Company and was in the process of recording a release for Major Record Label interests. After their Artist Management Company experienced financial troubles, Shawn relocated to York, Pennsylvania to reform Vertigo Haze.
