Description
Vicitms of Change is a hard rock quartet from the Ark-La-Tex area. The group was founded in 1995 by John Houck (Bass/Vocals) Wayne Russell (Drums/Vocals), and Billy Anderson (Guitar). After spending some time forging out their stage performance and song writing skills, the band put together the material that would become TOPIC?. The bulk of the material found on TOPIC? was recorded at at TC Studios on campus at Texas A&M in Texarkana, TX in 1996/1997.
The album was released later that year. Following several complications, the album was pulled. Ian Harford was added in 1999 as a second guitarist and the group was added to Entity Records (a label founded in Arkansas by peers of the band). Following several disasters that threatened the band's existance--Ian Harford took a ten-month sabbatical to Brazil in 2000, and Billy Anderson was cut and replaced by Arkansas native Eric Sanders in 2001--the group decided to revisit their beginings.
Once Harford returned, the band decided to re-mix, re-master, and re-release TOPIC?. The group made some minor changes to the re-release. Both Ian and Eric were added to the disc re-recording some of the solos. The album was re-released in April 2002 on Entity Records. The group is starting their FIND THE ROAD'S END TOUR 2003 (the last leg of the supporting tour for TOPIC?) in late April. Their plan is to finish the tour and complete the follow-up to TOPIC? which has been in the works since 1998.
