Description
This is the first Rock Opera composed by Rob Volpintesta. Set in the tumultuous 1960's, this story of the demise of Marilyn Monroe includes characters based on President Kennedy, Joe Dimaggio, Frank Sinatra, and other less celebrated but powerful personalities that brought the diva down. This recording features a complete cast of singers (Rob Volpintesta sings Dimaggio, Rob Jackson sings Sinatra, Angela Parrish sings Monroe, Anthony Mills sings JFK). Also featured are Trina Hamlin, Glen Romeo, and a full chorus. The band perfoming eventually became Soundscape, which went on to record the "Discovery" album, also available through Angel Thorne Music. This is a double disc set and is a complete theatrical performance, including sung dialogue.
