Description
Joining Wampeters in 1989, guitarist Eamon Loftus and drummer Scott Goodrick jump-started the sprawling Pagan's Nest (1990). Fresh off the first two Wampeters records (Screen Test, 1987; Folk Medicine, 1989), Mark Doyon penned a set of freewheeling songs that refracted the Byrds, R.E.M., Lou Reed, U2, and Tonio K. Casting about for a sound they would later realize on Look What's Left (1994), Hey Judas (1997), and Murder Your Darlings (1999), the band went for broke, mining a variety of sounds and styles.
Remastered in 2004 for CD and digital downloads, Pagan's Nest is back in print.
