Recorded in his home studio, Marina, Mouzens, and Mom's Basement is the culmination of two years of change and experiences in the life of Tony Weeks. From the beautiful French village of Mouzens, to rural north Georgia, to the sunny beaches of Los Angeles and Marina Del Rey, California, Weeks' music reflects newly discovered places and people, as well as those unfortunately left behind.
Primarily a singer/songwriter, Weeks breaks new ground in this recording by performing most of the instrument work himself, as well as all vocals. Weeks calls on the help of a few talented guest soloists (Glenn Jones, Troy Williams, Andre Marins, and Clark Doe)who add their unique creative expression.
The CD insert design by Gillian Ruan is a work of art in itself. It also includes original photographs by Sam Wolfe and Gary Weeks and an original painting by Tony Weeks.
Marina, Mouzens, and Mom's Basement is a testament to what Weeks thinks music should be...a lyrical journey through feelings we all have, but rarely, if ever, express.
