Description
This American quartet breathes the air of the Eighties, of a time that hard Rock bordering on Metal has had its big time. Operating in the classical line-up, WRECKING CREW transplant this sound into the here and now, with an up-to-date production and a really professional look.
The band uses two vocalists, one rougher and one more melodic voice, good effect. The sound itself is rather earthy and basic, no frills or complicated song-structure, but concentration on the essential.
Crunchy Rockers like "Crucify Me", "Writing On The Wall" or "Regrets" go hand in hand with good ballads like "Endlessly" or "Farewell" (with alternating vocals), where WRECKING CREW prove that they also master the emotional side of the music.
Also worth mentioning is the closing "Childhood Friends", a real fun-track, live recorded Be-Bop with funny lyrics, nice closer!
Timeless Rock/Metal of the American school of the Eighties, absolutely worth to be checked out!
