Description
Performance: Vibraphone, Drum set / percussion, Keyboard, Trumpet - Composition & Arranging
Origin: Born and raised in Flint, Michigan
Eric Majied is an 18 eighteen year veteran teacher in the Flint Michigan Public Schools and is currently Director of Bands at Flint Central High School. He has performed extensively throughout the Country as well as in Spain.
Born and raised in Flint, Michigan 1962, Eric was beating on pots and pans at age 1. He started getting serious about performance in middle school, after listening to his older brothers' bands. Eric played drums at home and clarinet at school. The growth of Majiedism (performance on more than one instrument at a time), was motivated by Eric's idea to play bells and trap-set simultaneously.
Eric says, "I'm not trying to amaze anyone; I'm just trying to find a way to bring out what I hear and feel inside." Eric has been composing since 1980.
"Music is an expression of Love...Everybody knows Love, Most of us feel Love..., I seek to share my Love through the Wonder of Music..."
