Description
I have been inspired by many artists over the years to include rock, pop, metal, country, christian and more. In this CD you can pick out similarities to all of the above styles. My influences have been Elvis, Zeppelin, Johnny Cash, Styx, The All American Rejects, Queen, Ozzy, Carlos Santana, Matchbox Twenty, Creed, P.O.D.,etc...
This album is not about sounding like some big name group. I wrote the songs on this freshman CD as an independent artist. I believe that my individuality in my sound is an important part of who I am. I could have easily written and recorded songs that sound like an existing hit. When I went to LA in the 80's, a record company offered me a deal to record an album that sounded like George Michaels. I asked "Whats wrong with the songs you have in your hand" the record exec said "Its not whats selling right now".
If your tired of the same old music in your CD collection, its time to purchase something a little different. Dont be brainwashed by what some of the radio stations play over and over again. Support independent musicians. Look for me in the next upcoming episode of the show Cribs....:)
