Description

Cherie Lassiter is a singer/songwriter from Raleigh, North Carolina.
Her first Cd, Heart Shadows is a unique fusion of Celtic,folk and New
Age. It has been recieved well locally as well as internationally.
Spectator magazine of Raleigh writes;
"Enchanting,magical and melodious describe Heart Shadows...this
talented lady, who sings all the vocals and plays 12 string guitar,
creates compelling images of warriors, angels, light and water. She
sings about love like noone else does as in
'Out of the Blue', "Heart Shadows' and ' How You Touched Me'. 'Goddess
Chant', and ' Flight From Atlantis' are haunting ballads. Lassiter's

Cherie has performed locally and statewide as a solo artist and with
various bands. She has recorded with other local artists such as Joyce
Bowden on her release, Jolei, and also Rick Brockner's, Daughter of
the Acoustic Revolution, released this year.
Cherie has also performed with local bands playing rock to
Renaissance. She has traveled statewide to Rennaissance Faires where
she transports the listener to other times and worlds. Heart Shadows
is a popular Cd for massage practitioners and other healing venues. It
was produced with Robert Starling and a few tracks with her brother,
Rick Lassiter who's last solo release, "Songs for the Unconsoled" is
an internationally loved collection of beautiful compositions.
Cherie is currently recording a new Cd to be released
next year. It has more of a folk-pop-rock flavor. It is more
progressive and contemporary.
Says Lassiter, " My new material and band pushes me to my edge as an
artist. It is more intense while still having that hypnotic sound. Vocally it is
freeing me to explore places I haven't been in range and volume. It is
allowing me to challenge myself and grow as a performer and artist. I
am passionate about it. That's the most important thing for me."
