Description
BLENDER MAGAZINE NAMES "COCK IN THE PUSSY" ONE OF THE TOP 100 SONGS OF 2004!
"'I Want You' is one of my favorite records of the year." Jerry Blair, Fuerte Marketing and Monarc Entertainment; former Executive Vice President at Arista Records and Columbia Records.
Cock Lorge tells it like it is on this musical journey through the life stages of a modern American Man. Combining the musical stylings of Beck, Lou Reed and Sublime with the comic sensibilities and punk aesthetic of Ali G, Chris Rock and Lenny Bruce, Cock has created a rock and roll record for the ages.
As the lyrics suggest, Cock's music is targeted toward a very specific demographic . . . MEN. Women love it too. Maybe it's the underlying groove, the sticky melodies or the tongue in cheek delivery. Maybe it's the honesty.
Whatever it is, the people can't get enough of it. The record has spent weeks as one of the Top Sellers on CD Baby and is in rotation at XM and Sirius Satellite Radio. Cock has played to packed houses in New York's top venues, including Pianos, Sin-e and Arlene's Grocery.
Cock wrote, arranged, performed, produced and engineered all seven tracks, although he did get some help along the way. "I Want You" features guest performances by legendary bass player Tony Maimone (Pere Ubu, They Might Be Giants, Frank Black, Lucinda Williams, Book of Knots) and Joel Hamilton (Players Club, Shiner, Book of Knots). Former Columbia Records recording artist Bobby Sichran ("From A Sympathetical Hurricane" (1994)) co-engineered one of the tracks. The record was mixed at Studio G, Brooklyn and mastered by Doug Henderson.
