Description

The theme of "Ivory Town" is boogie-woogie. I listened for many years to people like Pete Johnson, Oscar Peterson and Hannes Jaric, and I came to the conclusion that boogie-woogie is simply one of the best musical styles there is. It's too much challenging to the musician and fun, exciting and danceable for the audience to ignore.

I can't improve on those guys playing, but here's how the boogie-woogie sounds through me. Many of the songs are intended to be simple, fun and danceable, incorporating the boogie-woogie style into my own version of, I suppose, "classic rock." Nothing fancy there. I included some other styles that might be called something like "Adult Contemporary" to provide a little variety, but the main theme is boogie-woogie.
