"Our Way" A Tribute to the Sinatra Swing Era, is a CD that features the 18 musicians of "The Wright Touch Big Band", David Wright, vocals. David Wright spent 20 years performing with "The President's Own", the United States Marine Band. He played saxophone and sang with the White House dance band, for 6 Presidents.
This all-star ensemble from Washington, DC has been working together since 1992 and features nationally known jazz musicians Tim Eyermann, David Steinmeyer, Tom Williams, Rick Whitehead, Wade Beach, and Pete Berenbregge. Most of the core musicians are former leaders and players from the Washington, DC Military Big Bands, such as "The Airmen Of Note", the "Army Blues" and the "Navy Commodores".
The CD contains 18 of the hottest swing arrangements of Frank Sinatra's favorite songs from his Capital Record years. There are two instrumental tributes included: "Memories of You" and "I Can't Stop Loving You". In these two emotionally powerful arrangements, the whole band gets a chance to "sing".
