SINGER/SONGWRITER
Born and raised in Little Rhody, south side of Providence, Rhode Island, Deborah grew up surrounded by groups like "Chubby & The Turnpikes, better known as "Tavares" and "Jeffrey Osborne /LTD", the soulful sounds of Motown, R&B, the ocean, and the intimate rhythms of the street. Deborah began her singing career early on as a member of the church choir, later became a member of an R&B band and performed at various local clubs while still in Providence. Her need and desire for self-expression followed her to Chicago, Houston and now, the NYC and NJ metropolitan area where she continues to perform at clubs and special events, records jingles, and now the release of her CD.
As a performer Deborah is able to reach across generations by the energetic use of her richly textured voice, wide vocal range, challenging melodies and themes that emerge from the deep experiences and reality of intense passion. Both the themes and the melodies strike a universal chord in anyone who has experienced love.
